John Kidder has been the driving force
behind Colonial Adjustment, Inc.'s growth and success. As President and founder of the
company in 1974, he uses his insight and skills in all aspects of the business. Along with
overall management of the business, he travels extensively in his involvement with claims
related educational issues, as well as new business pursuits.
While he is experienced in handling all lines of insurance
claims, Mr. Kidder specializes in the areas of homeowners and commercial property losses.
Prior to founding Colonial Adjustment, Inc., he was for eight years adjuster and
eventually Branch Casualty Supervisor for a national independent adjusting firm. In that
position, he gained significant experience in the independent handling of all physical
damage and casualty claims.
A graduate of Fryeburg Academy and Husson College, he has
attended a wide variety of professional schools including the Vale Technical Institute. He
is licensed by the states of Maine and New Hampshire, holds membership in the
International Institute of Loss Adjusters and Maine Insurance Field Club, and is past
president of the Southern Maine Claims Association. Additionally, he is an associate
member of the Loss Executives Association.
