The company has experienced dramatic increases in both business volume and professional staff since its founding in 1974 by John T. Kidder, III, and the addition of Scott A. Kidder in 1995.

Today, Colonial Adjustment, Inc. is New England's largest independent adjusting firm, with four offices serving the most populous areas of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Our Property Department includes 25 Property Adjusters, 4 with over 30 years experience and 5 with over 20 years experience along with 3 supervisors that have 39, 23 and 22 years experience respectively.

Our Casualty Department includes 6 adjusters with an average of 17 years of experience per adjuster. We now provide an experienced casualty adjuster in every office who can handle claims in any part of our service area.
